Educational Qualifications  
Essential
1(a) Higher Secondary School Certificate with Diploma in Education (two years course), or Secondary School Certificate with Diploma in Education (two years course),
(c) For teaching in any particular medium of instruction (language), the candidate should have the same language as one of the subjects in . Secondary School Certificate Examination or Higher Secondary: School Certificate Examination (2) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Marathi
4.Age Limit 
Not exceeding 42 years. Age is relaxable to:-
(j) Government servants by 05 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the
Government.
(ii) OBC by 03 years :
(iii) ST by 05 years
(iv) SC by 05 years
(v) Teachers who have actually worked as Govt.Primary Teacher on Ad-hoc, Contract
\ basis and lecture basis under Directorate of Education on or before 05/01/2014 by 05 years
