NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY-JRF, SRF, PDF

Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy, an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has initiated „SSS-NIRE Bioenergy Promotion Fellowship’ to promote research activities in bio-energy and to attract competent researchers in this field. Applications in prescribed proforma are invited from eligible candidates for JRF/SRF/ PDF programme in the field of bioenergy. The broad spectrum of bioenergy covers Biomass characterization, Biomass plantation, Biomass management, Biomass conversion technologies (pyrolysis, gasification, biomethanation), Liquid biofuels (biodiesel, bioethanol, bio-oils), Algal biomass production, Biohydrogen production etc. The fellowship amount will be governed as per DST norms (adopted by MNRE) and guidelines as amended from time to time. ELIGIBILITY
1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
Essential Qualifications: /SRF 0 5 i) Candidates must either have 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E/ B.Tech( degree in Chem. Engg., Mech. Engg., Agri. Engg., Civil Engg., Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg. Etc) with a valid GATE score/ or must have 60% marks in M.Sc.( Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology) (preference will be given to NET qualified candidate).  2. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
Essential Qualifications: ME, M.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology (Chem. Engg., Mech. Engg., Agri. Engg., Civil Engg., Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg.) with minimum 60% marks.
Or MSc, BE, B.Tech with minimum 60% marks and at least two years of post MSc, BE, BTech, research experience as evidence from fellowship/ associateship or traineeship and published papers in standard refereed journals 3. POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
Essential Qualifications: The minimum qualification is Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in the field of Renewable Energy or relevant field of science and engineering. Candidates submitted thesis and likely to appear Viva-voce within six months are also eligible to apply.

STIPEND/ Fellowship Amount The amount of JRF/SRF/PDF fellowship will be as per DST norms(adopted by MNRE), which are as follows:
JRF Rs.16000 PM+HRA (if hostel accommodation not provided)
SRF Rs.18000PM+HRA (if hostel accommodation not provided)
PDF Rs.22000 PM +HRA (if hostel accommodation not provided)
